SLASH On SUPER BOWL Performance: 'It's Been A Terrific Experience, To Say The Least'

Slash — the iconic, Grammy-winning rock guitarist and songwriter — made a surprise guest appearance yesterday (Sunday, February 6) at Super Bowl XLV, the biggest sporting event on the planet. Slash performed "Sweet Child O' Mine", with Fergie (a.k.a. Stacy Ann Ferguson) of the BLACK EYED PEAS on lead vocals, at the Super Bowl XLV halftime show.

"There's is nothing cooler than performing at the Super Bowl. It's been a terrific experience, to say the least!" said Slash.

The 2010 Super Bowl was watched by more than 106 million people, becoming the most-watched program in U.S. television history (Nielsen Co.).

According to Blast magazine, the Super Bowl XLV halftime show received mixed results from celebrities who voices their opinions via Twitter.

Nikki Sixx of MÖTLEY CRÜE tweeted, "Worse halftime ever. Jesus. Really?"

Joey Kramer of AEROSMITH agreed with Nikki Sixx by tweeting, "R they kidding with this ? Seriously WTF ?" He ended up taking to Sixx and said, "@NikkiSixx I hear ya brother.. WTF ?"

Tommy Lee of MÖTLEY CRÜE then shot this tweet: "WTF was that?"

Slash collaborated with Fergie on his first true solo album, simply entitled "Slash".
